If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

If I had to write a poem about my life at this current moment, it would be about choices. I am faced with many difficult choices nowadays that follow me and impact me in ways I never imagined. Choosing to ignore or accept the hurt I feel in order to move on no matter how hard it is. Fighting mental battles trying to get up each morning and choosing to push myself regardless. Simple choices made can have a greater effect than what was once intended.

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

When I am in a mood that I do not like, some strategies that I use to change my mood are, drinking tea, lighting a candle, doing a word-search, or writing about it. I have to identify how I am feeling and recognize the fact that I need to take a step back from it.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

My personal approach to creativity is to use personal experiences and lessons to create whatever you feel you need to. I try to put myself into the piece that I am trying to complete, showcasing myself as a person through my work without having to explicitly state it. That makes the project all the more personal and can make others see that as well, or it can often make them see certain things within themselves as well. My favorite project that I completed was a personal writing task that I made for myself. It was a psychological horror short story that used real aspects and effects of trauma to push the story along, making the tale feel intense and real despite being nothing more than a made up story.

: Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word./

The vocabulary word that I find most resonates with me personally is "livid." I have heard the word and experienced the feeling all throughout my childhood as well as my life now. I was what people think of as the "angry daughter" of the family. The smallest thing would make me absolutely lose my mind. People would walk on eggshells around me for the worry that I would blow up at them. This was when I was younger and I have since grown out of this.

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

A place where I feel most at peace is in the city of Atlanta, specifically in Piedmont park when it is dark outside. I grew up going to the park a lot so it reminds me of when I was younger.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

A time when I had to rely on someone else was the time that I went out at night with my friend, neither of us had our license so we had to try and rely on someone else to pick us up. It felt very stressful because the other party involved did not communicate well with us and we had no way to get home without them.

What life skill have you learned in high school that could be/is useful outside of high school.

A skill that I have learned in school that is useful outside of school is to deal with people that you may not agree with or get along with. It is important to be able to work with many different types of people in order to be successful.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

A time when I took a hiatus from something that was important was the time I had to miss a lot of school due to illness. I had to take an almost month-long hiatus because I was hospitalized so many times. This impacted me by setting me back educationally and leading to me having to redo my junior year completely.

In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

I spent most of my break in bed or cleaning when I wasn't spending time with family and friends. One moment that stood out to me during break was when my brother and I went out with 4 of our friends to a music show, it was a bonding experience since most of us had never been in that sort of environment before.  The first goal that I want to achieve this year is to begin therapy. This goal is important to me because I need an outlet where I can get my thoughts and feelings in order in a healthy and efficient way. In order to accomplish this goal, I will contact different institutions that offer therapy for minors and wait for one of them to message me about times to meet with me. By March 2026, I should have successfully gotten in contact with a therapist and gotten into the routine of going to therapy. The second goal that I want to achieve this year is to improve my health.  This goal is important to me because it is inconvenient to have almost every aspect of my life ...
